Hello guys! Today I propose an easy recipe!
For my boyfriend I prepared a sauce with mushrooms. He doesn’t like the sauces that are more like the homogenized for children, but he prefers something where you feel the presents of different ingredients. So I made the sauce that doesn’t blend with the mixer but it feels good the presence of mushrooms and other ingredients.
As you can see in the photo the sauce accompanied a dish of fusilli. Now for the recipe! Try it and tell me what you think!
Sauce of tomatoes and mushrooms
- 30 g of dried porcini mushrooms
- 250 g of tomato sauce
- ½ carrot (about 50 g)
- 2 stalks celery
- ½ onion
- 1 small potato
- 3 large tomatoes
- extra virgin olive oil
Put the dried mushrooms in a bowl with water.
Clean and cut the onion into small pieces. Peel potatoes and onion, then cut these into small pieces. Cut into small pieces also stalks of celery.
In a saucepan, pour a little olive oil and place the carrot, celery and onion. Cook over medium heat until the onion is golden. Then pour the tomato sauce. Add half a teaspoon of sugar and one of salt. Cook for about fifteen minutes.
Wash and dice the tomatoes and incorporate them to the sauce. Drain and add mushrooms to the rest. Cook for half an hour.
When the sauce has the desired density is ready to be tasted.
