Hello boys and girls! How are you?

The hamburger with paprika pesto was born in an evening that laziness has had the upper hand. I wanted a sandwich pub, but the idea of going out didn’t attract me, so I decided to bring the pub home and prepare a hamburger with all the trimmings.

In preparation I wanted to use the Costa Ligure‘s paprika pesto. I met this company at Cibus in Parma and I am really so happy for their products. Seeing is believing! 😉

Ingredients (for 1 sandwich):

  • 160 g of ground meat
  • pepper as needed.
  • Salt to taste.
  • q.s. mint
  • bread for burgers
  • 45 g of pesto sauce with paprika Costa Ligure
  • 50 g of mozzarella
  • 30 g of tomato
  • 100 g of banana peppers
  • 150 g of potatoes
  • rosemary q.s.
  • extra virgin olive oil

Mix the ground meat in a bowl with a pinch of salt, a pinch of pepper and a little chopped mint. Shape the dough into a hamburger. Cook the burgers on a griddle or skillet over medium heat.

Cut the peppers into strips and cook them in a pan with a little oil over high heat, until lightly bruise. Once cooked add salt to fire off and put them in a bowl.

Meanwhile peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces of average size. Boil the potatoes in already boiling water for two minutes. Drain them and pass them in the pan of peppers. Cook for 2 more minutes, adding a little oil and a pinch of rosemary.

Cut the bun and spread both halves with pesto and paprika. Based put the peppers, then the burger and over the mozzarella, cut into slices. Finally put a couple of tomato slices. Close the sandwich and secure with a long toothpick.

Serve the hamburgers with potatoes as a side dish.
