Last week I saw a film “La la land”. A movie nothing short of amazing!
The film tells the love story between a jazz musician, Sebastian Wilder (Ryan Gosling) and an aspiring actress, Mia Dolan (Emma Stone). The two accidentally meet several times before Mia remains struck by a jazz piece by Sebastian in a restaurant. The two begin a relationship, but the economic situation pushes Sebastian to push towards a more innovative and contemporary style of music, getting a job as keyboard player in a successful band.
Meanwhile Mia leaves her job as a waitress and stops making film specimens to devote himself to writing her show. Sebastian starts a tour that brings him to be more distant the relationship, thus, she begins to crack. Mia debut at the theater with her monologue, but the show attracts few spectators, so that Mia does not know how to pay for the theater. Disappointed by the show and even discouraged by her romantic relationship, she returns to her for comfort.
Sebastian Receives a call for Mia, being aware That she was spotted by a casting director. Sebastian got up to Mia and the door casting. A Mia Theproposed is to make a film in France.
At the end of the film, the two meet again after five years. For the interests of working that they brought them anywhere else, the two have turned away. Mia has become a successful actress, was married and has a daughter. Sebastian opened a jazz club.
The film is well structured and very addictive. The music makes you dance from the very first scene. The finish is not trivial, it is rather melancholic. I can say that the costume is a little fastened on the primary colors, but they are very balanced in every detail. The graphics written reminded me of those of “The Great Gatsby” by Baz Luhrmann. The interpretation of the two protagonists is nothing short of outstanding. A film not to be missed.
